  • adore by smashing pumpkins is easily my favorite album by them.

there’s a darkness to it. idk how but they captured forever bleak. trying to make a beautiful story out of broken hearts and the loneliness of a lifetime in solitude.

“once upon a time” is what the afterlife would sound like.

all the visuals my mind makes up for this album are black and white.

“for martha” is about crossing over too. (see you on the other side)

but these are also love songs. these are the truest love songs possible because they’re beautifully toxic love that kills you and tears you apart.

and when the billy corgman says:

“lovely girl, you’re the murder in my world dressing coffins for the souls I’ve left behind. in time we must never be apart. and you’ll always be my whore ‘cause you’re the one that I adore. and I’ll pull your crooked teeth you’ll be perfect just like me. in you I feel so dirty. in you I crash cars. in you I feel so pretty. in you I taste god. we must never be apart”

I cry it doesn’t matter how many times i’ve heard it will always punch my gut with this feeling. I just don’t think people understand the measure of fucking love in this song.

and this is not about the lyrics only the music tells this story with a grim and classical elements. the guitars talk about this and the piano.

ava adore has this energy concentrated. ava adore. fucking ava adore ok?

THE ROCK World’s finest headed to the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on December 9 and 10 for a pre-Christmas mince pie and glass of eggnog in aid of the KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas festival.
It wasn’t all kicking back and enjoying the festive merriment though, as Foo Fighters – who headlined both nights-AFI, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Incubus, Papa Roach, Evanescence, Wolfmother and Saosin were all there to rock the Santa hats off the sold-out cr
    owd.

Also on the bill were former Blink 182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker with their band +44, and their former bandmate Tom DeLonge, who was with his AVA posse. Unfortunately, the season of good will to all men didn’t inspire a kiss and make up session between the former friends. In fact, the two bands, who were playing on different days, made sure that they didn’t cross paths at all. Come on guys, where’s your Christmas spirit?
